I’m taking an informal poll…how many of you people out there have dated someone you met over Twitter? I know people who met over Facebook, but Twitter seems a little harder to assess. It’s pretty easy to flirt, but for some reason, it feels very removed from real life to me. And Facebook doesn’t. Maybe because I can’t really express myself to the best of my abilities in 140 characters or less. And there aren’t photo streams so my attention span goes in and out. Sorry Twitter, it just does.
But anyway, for those of you who have hooked up this way, do you recommend it? Is it better than meeting someone through Match.com or something similar? Did you friend them on Facebook or email them before you actually ended up going out?
Also, are there any relationships out there that ENDED because of a Twitter stream?
Thanks for any information out there..this is for research purposes. I promise I will not be using your real names.
Although it would be REALLY awesome to feature a happy Twitter couple. Just saying…

I actually met someone off of twitter… she had a dating blog as well, we joked about how we should go on a date a blog about it. We actually ended up going out on the date and it went very well. I’m still waiting to write about it.
