The past few weeks I’ve felt like a rubber band, snapping at pretty much anything that got in my way (sorry, love). Stress has often gotten the better of me, but I feel like when I’m not centered, when I’m tired or overwhelmed, it kind of takes over. It’s not pretty.
Anyway, it’s also a great motivator for writing. I wrote about stress in my latest blog for the lovely and inspirational website Owning Pink, which you all should def check out if you’re looking for a little love and lightness in your day. Oh, there are some pretty good tips on health and body care, too because it was started by a doctor. But back to stress—I suggested some tips if you find it creeping up in your life and taking over. Maybe it’s time to slow down. Nobody is Superwoman, so don’t try to pretend. Let’s be real. Life is messy, and that’s ok.
I’ve also got a new blog for the folks at Digital Romance, about the power of words. When we’re angry or fearful, we don’t typically pause before lashing out at the person standing in front of us, the object of our scorn. But is this the best approach? Or are we slowly breaking down the walls of the relationship? This post was inspired by the late great Maya Angelou, who knew the real power of words.
And finally, because we need a little bit of fun and girly-ness mixed in with these heavy posts…check out my newest contribution to WhoWhatWear!
Happy dating!
