I’m so excited to reveal my new website, with a brand new look and a refreshed focus! I’m still talking about dating and love, but in 2017 I want to focus on personal health and happiness – now more than ever.
I think wellness covers a LOT of subjects, including mental and physical health. So under this subject, I’ll be talking about a lot of things, from understanding difficult emotions (like shame and blame), to taking steps in dealing with health and fitness issues, to how to plan a day hike. (Yes, there will be fun stuff!) And be warned: I will be talking about politics occasionally, because in my opinion, politics IS personal and does affect us in many ways, even if we don’t think it’s polite or convenient.
Above all, I want to shift the focus to talking about GROWTH in all aspects of our lives, in and out of relationships. It’s my passion.
I think many of us (myself included) become WAY too focused on results, like having the perfect body or finding a man or creating a family or achieving a promotion and that corner office. Ambition is good, but not at the expense of our own well-being and fulfillment, of pursuing the things that are most important to us.
Most of us are looking for destinations in life.
What I mean by this is – we want that happy ending. The perfect body, the man/woman, the house, the stellar job, the best-selling book, the chance to travel the world, etc. As if we could stay put in any one phase for very long, or that we could be statically happy forever. Life doesn’t work this way.
Results-oriented thinking will make you crazy, because life is flowing and always changing.
Places and people and circumstances change, and it’s good to understand and embrace this (like a Buddhist!). So my website is going to focus on digging deeper into these types of personal challenges. Because no matter your relationship status, you are going to encounter issues and growth opportunities. It’s good to examine what’s what, and see how you can change your perspective to gain some clarity.
So, my website is now broken down into categories, which feature the following topics:
Dating
Relationships
Breaking Up
Health & Wellness (where you can find fitness and healthy living info)
Reviews
Travel
So with that in mind, I hope you enjoy! As always, you can catch me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or feel free to drop me a message here!!
XO,
Kelly
