Are you sick of your regular hangouts? The bars near your work? Tired of seeing the same people instead of meeting new ones?
I am always on the lookout for new ideas when it comes to meeting other singles. There are a ton of us in Los Angeles, so I’ve decided to put together a weekly list of events happening around the city so you can plan accordingly (and have evenings to look forward to after work). I’ll post them in the “Find a Date” page on my website. If you subscribe to my blog you’ll be notified directly!
Following are some parties happening tomorrow night around L.A. Check them out and report back—I’d love to get feedback so I can make these lists as useful as possible to all of you!
Dating Events this week:
HurryDate – hosted speed dating events where you can meet up to 20 people in one night! The concept is easy: you spend 5 minutes with each potential date to determine whether or not you’d like to spend time with them again on an actual date (cutting your search time down significantly).
- Thurs Nov 12th – Henry’s Hat – game night for young singles, with Wii, board games and cocktails. Yum.
- Thurs Nov 12th – Woo Lae Oak Restaurant @ 170 N La Cienega (near San Vicente) for the 40+ year old daters who love to have fun.
Things to Do – For all the young professionals out there, this organization provides events for other singles in L.A. to meet, network, date, or just hang out. The next mixer is at The W Hotel in Westwood tomorrow (Nov 12th). Check out their website for details.
Wine Tasting Parties – This is a personal favorite of mine, as they are all over the city (so easy to get to) and they usually happen after work, when you are ready to grab a drink with your co-worker or friend. So, why not expand your social network while you’re at it? Bottle Rock on Flower Street in downtown offers “Tasting Menu Mondays”, where they pair six tastings of either wine or beer with chef Jared Levy’s specially designed menu. Great thing to look forward to on a Monday!
