I’m excited to share a couple of new articles with you to help get you ready for the end of summer – specifically to help you with your approach to dating. Oh yes – September is around the corner. Back to school, back to cooler weather (for some of you), maybe some rain here in the drought-ridden neighborhoods of L.A. That would be nice. At any rate, it’s time for a fresh look for your dating app profile.
Photos, photos, photos…
You can check out my latest for Digital Romance here…it’s all about choosing the right photos. People are visual creatures, especially when they are dating (and this means you too!), so we must learn to embrace this fact and let it work in our favor.
Get creative – start showing off your personality through photos, not just words. It’s not about having a killer body or pouty lips. Tell a story. That’s what draws people in.
Truth or…
If you want to do a little revamp of your dating app profile and give it a fresh look, let’s start September off right with a bit more honesty. I know dating can seem like a competition, and you have to get past all those filters people put up to even get a decent match, but let’s keep it real. Don’t claim you are 5’10” if you are more like 5’6″ – dating shouldn’t be about getting past the filters. When you aren’t honest up front, at some point you must come clean (and it won’t be pretty). We should embrace who we are right now. Stop with the lying – or the “enhancement” of the truth. Check out my latest for Singles Warehouse.
XO,
Kelly
