I’ll be the first to admit it happened to me, and the end wasn’t pretty. I was young and naive, and fell hard for someone at the office. I thought that we would remain together, and nobody would find out, at least until after I left the company. I was proven wrong on both counts.
You see, there is nothing more gossip-fueling than a potential office romance. It’s hard to keep chemistry hidden, so chances are, even if you are not obviously flirting or expressing PDAs, your co-workers will know. So you should ask yourself if your career trajectory at your current workplace is more important than pursuing a relationship. Assessing your priorities is necessary, so you can be prepared for whatever may happen.
