I have a confession to make. I love starting exercise programs. I’ve tried Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and Flamenco dance classes (among some more embarrassing trendy classes in recent years). I’ve done strength training and aerobics. I love trying new classes and promise myself I will go consistently. But then my weeks get busy and I put off that new Pilates class in favor of work or some other priority because I can’t make that 6:30pm class. And then summer comes and I’m screwed. And I live near the beach, so I’m doubly screwed. No shorts for me.
If only I could go online from my own home and get the same quality class at 10:00pm that night when I do have time for Pilates.
So you can imagine my ears perked up at learning about Gaiam TV. It’s perfect for busy people, especially single women who like to spend their evenings working, networking, meeting friends, or dating. There is never enough time for everything, least of all working out. At least that was the case for me. The classes were great but they really impacted my schedule – and so I wasn’t consistent. At all.
But this offers a great alternative, and a chance to get on the right track in a way that totally works with not only your schedule, but your fitness and wellness goals.
Some background about Gaiam TV:
It’s the first streaming video subscription offering designed to reach those interested in health, wellness, yoga, fitness and personal development. With over 2,000 titles, it’s like a Netflix for health, wellness, yoga and fitness classes. Gaiam TV viewers can practice with top instructors like Rodney Yee, Seane Corn, Jillian Michaels, Mari Winsor and Kathryn Budig.
You can customize your workouts depending on what you want out of it – toning, cardio, weight loss – how much time you have, and what instructors you prefer. And you have instant access through your laptop, iPad or Smartphone.
The rate is $9.95 per month but Gaiam TV also offers a Free 10-day Trial, No Strings Attached..
So, if you’ve been hesitant about starting a new exercise or wellness regime to improve your health because you just don’t see how it can really fit in to your day, this is a good alternative. It can’t hurt to check it out since you get a 10-day free trail. Think about it as we begin another week – it’s a chance to really change things for yourself.
Happy Monday!

Seriously considering trying this. Working out at home or even via my iPad when I’m out somewhere is such a convenient option and seems totally worth the money! And I’ve been dying to try Pilates for awhile.
