I read yesterday that Mary Louis Parker has taken up with musician Charlie Mars, a man 10 years her junior. The first thing I thought was, good for her!
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit I hate the term “cougar” as it applies to the world of dating. After all, I have been one of these “older” women who dated younger men. The thing is, attraction does not concern itself with age. And frankly, that is a good thing. Men have been dating younger women for years with no serious repercussions. And women are coming into their own later in life (personally and/or professionally), so it fits that there would be a reversal in the natural order of dating.
So guys and girls, if you have reservations about whether or not you should date somebody out of your age range comfort zone, ask yourself what you are afraid of. Perhaps you’ll have a better time than you thought possible.
Ok, back to work now…
