Ok, just to catch you up—this post is a follow-up to my post two weeks ago regarding the super awesome giveaway for Silkn SensEpil’s new home hair removal treatment…
I tried it out in the luxurious comfort of my own home (ok, small bathroom), and I want to share the results with you. First, (ok kids, avoid your eyes if you’re a little squeamish. It’s not pretty, my leg hair…)
Here was my left leg before using Silkn SensEpil:
Ok, you can uncover your eyes now. Just don’t look left. Try not to picture running your hand across it, whatever you do. Nobody should see/ touch this except me and my pants.
As I mentioned, the product came with a DVD explaining everything…how it should look, how to assemble it (no assembly required really), and how to use it. Mostly it’s a couple of steps. Plug it in, position the device, and then click the button. My whole leg took a total of ten minutes, and that’s because I’m slow and cowardly. You can adjust the power according to how much of a wuss you are (me, i’m a total wuss so I had it at the lightest setting). When I first used it, it felt kind of like a brief spark against my leg. This is the pulsed light technology, folks. As recommended, I used it again two more times over a period of three weeks. The results? See for yourself…
I’m quite pleased. (Ignore the goosebumps—my skin is so light it’s reddish.) Now I’m doing the other leg, and I’m not posting pictures of that one so enjoy these while you can (or not).
And this is my cat Wolfie, who wondered why I wasn’t taking a picture of her:
Ready to run out and buy one? (Not the cat, the hair removal system…) Or at least check out their website? Well, even if you don’t win a free system from their giveaway, you can get an amazing discount just because you read it here first. Silk’n SensEpil is giving y’all an exclusive offer of 20% OFF Silk’n SensEpil Products through December 31st, 2011 with a $200 minimum purchase. So Merry Christmas, Happy Halloween, Happy Hannukkah, and Happy day after Thanksgiving/ biggest shopping day of the year! The promo code to redeem this offer is: “Beauty20.”
** Please Note: Similar to professional laser hair removal systems, Silk’n SensEpil will not work on individuals with dark skin tones and is not recommended for their use (if the skin tone is too dark the SensEpil cannot detect the difference between the hair and the skin and will not be as effective).
