Ok, maybe that title was a tease. I wanted to talk today about all the recent happenings in the dating world that strike me as a bit…well…self-indulgent. But I can’t resist checking them out…
The first thing…remember Omarosa from The Apprentice? Turns out she now has her own dating reality show, premiering tonight on TV One at 9pm y’all. It’s not exactly “The Bachelorette” from what I’ve heard. Instead of handing out roses to her admirers, she fires the ones she doesn’t like. And from the previews, it looks like they have to be as aggressive in pursuing her as they are in business…it’s all part of her “challenge”. Which makes for a lot of stuff they probably couldn’t air on ABC (owned by Disney).
Not sure if I can stomach watching Omarosa date, but I’ll try. Poor guys.
The next thing…there’s a new dating website called Cupidtino, set up specifically for Apple lovers. The guy who started it is actually a former Microsoft employee. But apparently he got in a fight with his girlfriend over how much time he spends with his iPhone and other Apple gadgets, so he thought people who were aligned technologically might end up falling in love and have it work out better. Worth a shot, no? I do love my MacBook.
The last thing…have you heard of a site called The Pirate Bay? Apparently they used to be a site where you could get pirated movies, music, etc., but that didn’t work out for them legally speaking. So now, they have repackaged themselves as a dating site! According to Pirate Date founders, the site was created to “share their single friends in the same way they share files.” I’m not sure how to take that. Oh, and it’s free of course.
Thought you might like to know—Happy dating!

The thought of Omarosa dating does test my gag reflex. Met her once when I was bartending a gig, quite “the princess” (nicest way of putting it) is all I have to say.

Can’t stand Omarosa. So I won’t be watching that.
But I certainly like the look of the pirate girl. I find it fascinating when companies completely redefine themselves. Pretty ballsy! Pardon my whatever……

That’s too funny-I’ve been to Pirate Bay when it was a place to download music (I’m bad I know!). I like their new tagline. Way to turn lemons into lemonade eh?

Omarosa, just the name wants to make me run as fast as I can, is she for real.
